When it becomes more than a gadget
I love electronics. I love pressing buttons. When I was a kid, there were always real cameras and disposable film cameras around. I am sure I set the family, if not the world record, for wasting film. Not sure how I didn’t get into more trouble for that. I have continued to press buttons on cameras (maybe people?) throughout my adult life.
I’m trying to press buttons a little bit less these days. Trying to be more intentional and not take 50 shots of the same thing, while making inconsequential modifications along the way.
This has also become less about pressing buttons and more about decompressing from life and trying to immerse myself in a scene. Being out with a camera is my happy place. Coming home to see and edit the results is a joy, even when there aren’t any keepers.
Much like my life, this site is very much a work in progress that I hope to make better as I grow… follow along if you like.
